Teaching Notes
This is song is fun, fast and easy to teach to groups of all sizes. A great opener. The trickiest spot is the rhythm on “oh god…” Be very intentional and clear about how long to hold that and it will support the group speed of learning. It’s a good song to bring singers’ attention to the breath, since the times for breathing come so quickly. It can be good to demonstrate how to take a quick but grounded, deep and relaxed breath into the belly before or while teaching this song.
Level of teaching speed/ difficulty (1 = very easy, 10 = very challenging)
this is such a great zipper song! it seems like it might be helpful to have another track of the harmony part… perhaps it’s easy enough to pick out by closer listening… 🙂 i’ll try that.
