Teaching Notes
This is a fantastic, uplifting song to share to close a circle, or in any setting that calls for upliftment. I love to give space after the song to really bask in its juiciness. When teaching this song in a group of about 40 or less, I usually start by teaching the first layer to everyone, then while that layer is still going, bring a group together and teach the next layer on top of that, then teach another group the next layer, then the next. That way each layer is a surprise, and I keep walking around to bring each group into the final layer so we’re all singing that together to close. Laurence typically introduces each layer and part to the group before bringing it all together.
This recording is in B, with a starting note of F#. I often sing it a bit higher if the sopranos are comfortable with the high note at the end.
Level of teaching speed/ difficulty (1 = very easy, 10 = very challenging)
