26 Mar Free, Free, Free
This original song by Melanie DeMore features rhythmic clapping based upon the Gullah tradition of the south sea islands. Any one of the three clapping patterns or the song are relatively simple to pick up on their own, and putting them all together is another story! It’s a fantastic deeper rhythm practice and joy to sing for our Wholehearted Chorus.

Lyrics
Lord, I’m free, free, free
Lord, I’m free
Lord, I’m free, free, free
Lord, I’m free
I done screamed and I done talked
I done run and I done walked
But it don’t matter now
‘Cause I’m free
Gotta shout, shout, shout
I just gotta shout
I just gotta shout
Gotta shout, shout, shout
I just gotta shout
I stood up, I made my choice
No more silence I raise my voice
Now I’m strong, movin’ on, I just gotta shout
I just gotta shout
I stood up, I made my choice
No more silence I raise my voice
Now I’m strong, movin’ on, I just gotta shout
