When the call comes
I’m convinced my trust is not enough yet
And I can see yet forever
The roots defy the tide
But the tide is rooted in 100 bijillion gallons of sea
Somewhere I remember,
and I swallow
When the call comes
I’m convinced my trust is not enough yet
And I can see yet forever
The roots defy the tide
But the tide is rooted in 100 bijillion gallons of sea
Somewhere I remember,
and I swallow

you know what i think is cool about poetry? the way one tiny line can feel so important. i have been reading and rereading
“And I can see yet forever.”
because i know there is intention behind that italicized yet.
